Random System reboots

My computer has been randonly rebooting fro time to time recently. I don't think it's a hardware issue because this happened a couple of times like 6 months ago and when I updated to the latest drivers, my computer was rock stable for like 5 straight months even when I played intense games. But this started just happening again when I'm on the Windows XP desktop. It happened once right after I logged onto my computer, it just rebooted. I checked event viewer, and I encountered a DCOM Got Error listed at the same time my system automatically rebooted. I have also encountered DCOM Got errors listed at times when my system doesn't automatically reboot itself. All these DCOM got errors say the same thing. The DCOM Got Error tells me about is stated below:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: DCOM
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10005
Date: 2/22/2004
Time: 12:27:06 PM
User: HOME\HOME USER
Computer: HOME
Description:
DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service ImapiService with arguments "-Service" in order to run the server:
{520CCA63-51A5-11D3-9144-00104BA11C5E}

For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

Does anyone know the cause of this and why this is happening and if this DCOM Got Error has anything to do with my system randomly auto rebooting itself? I have IMAPI CD Burning COM Service disabled, but it is ok to have it disabled if you don't use Windows XP's integrated CD-burning which I don't. Does the Imapi service it lists in there have anything to do with Windows XP's IMAPI CD Burning COM service?

Have you disabled any Windows XP services in the past?? Go here for information on XP services and go down to the COM+ Event System service. It talks about similar problems to what your talking about:

COM+ Event System

You will receive, in the Event Log, an entry from "DCOM" complaining about not having this service running if disabled. I am unaware of any application that uses COM+, but if set to manual, many services report to it, so it will start anyway. This service is required for System Event Notification. For the fun of it:

"C:\Program Files\ComPlus Applications\"

On your system, see if you have any installed "COM+" Applications. If not, you can probably disable this service with no side effects (besides the Event Log complaining upon reboots). Take note: BootVis requires Task Scheduler and COM+ Event System to be running if you wish to take advantage of the "optimize system" function. Why is it required? It is due to the pre-fetching function built into Windows XP. Another Note: Pre-fetching only occurs on boot up and application start, so if you do not care about a few extra seconds of boot time, you may decide to not even bother with it and disable Task Scheduler. Depending on the system, pre-fetching may increase performance. Windows Media Player may also require this service for some "features" to function. MS' .NET may require this service in the future. I recommend disabled for Super Tweaking, and manual for most other configurations.
