My system boots up just fine after I turn it on for the first time the next day. It gets to the Windows desktop and everything is fine for a couple of minutes, then it just suddenly reboots with the screen going blank and WIndows giving no notification of shutting down. But upon the next bootup, my system runs just fine and stable for the rest of the day even when I play C&C Generals online. I have ran MemTest 3.1 and it tests perfectly. The temperature of my CPU is read in the BIOS to be around 40 degrees Celsius. It is a Pentium 4 3.0GHz w/800MHz FSB. All the voltages are set to default in the BIOS. Except I have the RAM voltages to be 2.7V becuase the Corsair RAM guys said to put them higher at 2.7VOLTS to make them more stable and that they would be fine and not be damaged at that voltage for Corsair XMS PC3200 DDR SDRAM. A few days before this started happening, when I was playing MP3 files with ATI MMC at the same time as browsing the web and working on word docs, I would get a stop error after a couple of hours. But now I am getting random reboots on a cold boot a couple of minutes after it gets to the Windows XP desktop. But after the random reboot each time, the next boot-up everything works just great with no problems. Could there be something wrong with the PSU? It seems very odd that if the PSU was faulty, that it would only happen on a cold boot-up and not more often. I have also checked in Device Manager for any resource conflicts and it tells me for all the devices that there is no resource conflicts
My system specs are as follow:
-Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 motherboard w/Intel 875P northbridge chipset
-Pentium 4 3.0GHz w/800MHz FSB
