Whenever I try to install like CoD or BF:1942 my comp restarts. Or when I go to copy a CD to my HD, or part of a CD, my comp restarts. Then it gives me a blue screen and states 'Begin dump of physical memory'

I had this problem then I reformatted. Now it does it again. What the gay is going on?

Test your RAM with memtest86.

Since it likes to do this when installing programs, and gives physical memory dumps, it could be errors caused by memory. If the memory timings are set incorrectly or some other factor, this could cause instability and errors that can lead to things like this.

What he said. All indications seem to be pointing to your RAM, if it is generic brand RAM then it is a pretty strong possibilty (in a lot of cases i have seen cheap/oem/generic RAM causes problems). Use memtest like he suggested. Also there is a newer verision out Here If it is faulty RAM then i am pretty suprised that it even made it through Windows installation, since i have seen a lot of bad RAM kill the install as soon as it starts copying setup files. Yours might not be that severly damaged though. Either way that would be the first thing i would look at. Good luck.

Just ran memtest overnight. NO ERRORS! Oy this sucks...Im thinking its my 5700 Ultra, becuase when I had my GF2 I didnt have these restarts. What else could it be then if its not my RAM?

What drivers are you using? Try running the 45.33 drivers and tell me what happens...

Im using the 53.03.
I tried the 45's before a reformat and it didnt work, but I will try it again since I reformatted.

Ill run that CPU Test today, Thanks.

surprsied no one's asked about...

....VIRTUAL RAM !!shift+one

go to the tweak guide posted on the first page of G[H] and read the section about the page file (number "6", i think, don't quote me on it though.)

in short, what i'm saying is, maybe you need to increase the size of your virtual memory, since your RAM might not be able to handle it all on its own?

and have you tried changing the settings to the least aggressive in the BIOS for the RAM timings?

Alright well I tried the virtual RAM option. Made it twice the # of my RAM I have now.

I also got that Hot CPU Burn In tester/diagnostic program...My computer reboots about 11% into the first test!

Whats going on now?
