Ok, so about 8 months ago, I replaced my Winfast TV2000 XP card with a Hauppage PVR250. However, on occasion, I'll come back to my PC at the login screen, as if it had just rebooted.

When I look in the event viewer, here's what I find:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Service Control Manager
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7000
Date: 9/20/2005
Time: 4:39:26 AM
User: N/A
Computer: KOOLDINO
Description:
The WinFast TV2000 XP WDM Video Capture service [or crossbar, or TVTuner] failed to start due to the following error:
The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it.

----------------------------

What could be causing this to happen? AFAIK, I removed all software and drivers assoicated with the Winfast card.

It sounds like you never fully removed the Leadtek software. Try Add/Remove Programs, then a registry cleaner, or see if they have a removal tool, similar to what Hauppage has.

I removed everything in add/remove, and i've searched in the registry and deleted everything with "leadtek" or "winfast" or "tv2000" in it.

I couldn't find any removal tool by them.

Could you reccomend any free reg cleaners that may help?

Thanks.
