Anyways, last night, my computer decided to reboot... twice. Once while I was surfing the web (lately, I've been having problems with pop-ups... I still need to clean some stuff when I'm not studying), and once last night as I was going to bed (I keep my computer on 24hrs. a day). The 2nd time struck me as odd, since the computer was idle. Could it be that some hardware is dying?
I have a Pentium III 1.0GHz, 512MB RAM, Asus motherboard. I still have yet to open up the case and check things (making sure capacitors aren't bulged, burnt areas, etc.). I remember now, I never used any thermal paste between the heatsink/fan and CPU when I originally got the equipment (probably about 5 years ago). I'm wondering if the CPU is finally frying because of this.
Anyone got any ideas?
