Random Reboots, first AMD Rig

Hello,

So I finally got my pieces together for my g.f Rig but the problem is that the damn thing keeps rebooting. It would not drop me to a BSOD or anything, just reboots out of nowhere.

This is my first AMD build and the first time I am OCing an AMD, so are there things that I need to know, any differences between this and Intel P4s in terms of OCing and Bios settings.

The specs:
Shuttle AN35N Ultra
2400+ Mobile AMD
Thermalright HSF w/ Panaflo
120GB WD HD
2x512MB Infineon chips DDR400 Ram
GeForce Ti4600

Right now, I am running the FSB at 195 x 11. What core voltage should I be using? What voltage should I use for the Ram and the Video Card? For the Ram and Video card, I am using Auto, and the Core Voltage is on 1.7 I believe.

Also, I have the Hard Drive powered with the 120MM Antec Fan, does it matter? Would this be the one causing the reboots?

Also, what type of FSB and Multi should I be running to check for stability first?

Help is greatly appreciated. I just need to get this baby stable before Sims 2 comes out.
 
Make sure your psu is something reasonable for the job, not some old junker that was sitting in your closet for the past 2 years.

nothing terribly different here, if your ram isnt to good that could definitely be a cause of trouble if you are tweaking the ram timings at all. heat is probably not an issue.

does it happen after a certain amount of time? while performing a certain task?

I just came across and wierd combo in one of my systems, the nic (Netgear FA312) couldnt handle more than a few connections at a time without rebooting the system so when i ran a few bittorrents on the comp it would keep restarting. what im trying to say is remove unnecessary pci cards, cddrives etc

im not to familar with the mobile 2400+ other than its reputation but try being a little less aggressive with the oc

just my thoughts
 
memtest the ram. if it passes, ill try and think of something else. random reboots are normally ram errors, in my experience
 
Maybe I should take the Ram out from doing Dual Channel?

The PSU is an Antec fromt the BQE series, it should be good enough for the job tho. I only have 1 PCI slot used up, it is for the Wireless card. It even did it without any PCI slot.

Should I clear the CMOS maybe?
 
Test the PSU with a DMM (with a load connected), test the RAM (memtest86+), reset the CMOS, remove any non-essential devices (PCI cards, HDDs, CD-ROM drives, etc.)...
