For quite a while, I have been having problems overlocking my Athlon 2600+ non barton. Even slightly overclocking, can cause the computer to reboot.
Normal settings: 12.5 * 166
However, if I crank it to 12.5 * 170 or even slightly higher.. the computer could reboot itself at any time. Would this be because the chips overheating too quickly? As it stands, my computer is 60º during normal use.. so maybe a slight overclock is just pushing the temperature to high?
I have a MSI KT4V mobo, which seems to be great for overclocking, nothings greyed out. Anyways, any help would be appreciated. Starting to wish I got the 2500+ barton
