Random minimizing in games

I dont know why im minimizing randomly during gameplay. I play BF2 and DOW just fine but they keep minimizing for no reason. Does anyone know why it occurs?

Setup:
AMD A64 3000
Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP nForce3 150 chipset
Maxtor 200GB 7200RPM
Sapphire? x800 Pro 256RAM
400W PSU

I downloaded (Catalyst 5.6) Some help

Hitting the windows key will cause that. So will some spyware.

You just install a new printer by chance? A buddy of mine got a new (hp I think) all-in-one printer a couple months back and had the same problem. Turned out to be the printer software, I forgot what he did to reslove the issue, but if you did just get a new printer may try uninstalling the software and see if that helps.

Some distributed computing programs will also cause various games to minimize.. I know Folding @Home does that to a number of games.. Just have to close it b4 I start gameing..

Yea F@H does it to me with wulfram, cs, CS:S, HL2, etc

Something running in background. Check Task Manager and search Google for what you see running. Do you have SP2?

or your keyboard has a key bined to some program. My KB has an F Function where f1 to f12 have alternate tasks.

F@H only does it with the graphical client, if you guys install the console version your issues will all vanish, i promise.

Its unlikely that I will hit the windows key every minute during gameplay. And as for Spyware, I just built this comp, barely any ads, and little time on IE.

I just bought the Satiek Eclipse with my rig. I dont know if its really this keyboard thats creating the issue but ill test it with a PS2 keyboard.

Service pack 2, you install it through windows update, but if you arent behind a nat router, i would highly suggest using nlite to slipstream an install disc otherwise youre infected before you can download it.

Thanks for the tip.. I'll swap over .. One less thing to worry about.. Half the time, I forget to close it when I'm about to start up a gameing session.. It always reminds me when I do that
