iono whats going on. first off i need know to how unaccurate can bios/software temperature readings be? becuase before 2 days ago..i was idleing at 40 and i decided to check my temps and now it idles at 60+!! i was freaking out . what is going on here? i have a zalman 7000b with arctic silver . the wierd thing is when i touch the zalman its barely warm is that normal? the heatsink is on correctly and everything.

BIOS and software can be wildly inaccurate. A little weird it would read normal 2 days ago and now is reading very hot. If the heatsink is barely warm, I'm guessing you are okay. I would think if your BIOS temps are off, it would also screw up any software programs, but that is the next step I would try. I would probably download speedfan and everest to get their temp readings and go from there. Have you done anything to the system in the past two days?

ok and now my cool and quiet isnt working usually i install the driver and reboot an it works but not this time

EDIT everest is showing the same temps as my bios and software

and everest is saying my 12 v line is reading 6.78? is that normal?

ok problem fixed. i just did system restore to 2 days ago and everything is fine 35 idle and cool and quiet is working thanks for your help.
