Hi all. So my computer (desktop, on the lappy) tonight just started randomly hard crashing. I'll just be plugging along, and all the sudden it turns itself off. There is no set activity that does this and no set time after it's been on. I know that the CPU is cool enough, since I've been watching the temps right before it happened. The RAM and CPU both work in other rigs, and the motherboard is properly insulated from the case. What can be causing this?

System Specs:
Athlon XP 2500+
Abit NF7-S 2.0
gig-o-ram
Radeon 9500
Maxtor 120 gig drive
SB Audigy
MSI TV card
CD drives and such

Thanks in advance!

So, I moved the RAM from DIMMs 1+2 to 1+3 and it's running like a champ. Stupid computers. Mod, feel free to delete this thread.

EDIT: I SPOKE TOO SOON! Please help.

what are you voltage readings? anyways - try a different PSU..

Something like +12.11, -12.61, +5.10, -5.4. I will try a differernt PSU.
