random gpu usage on idle...

i have a gtx780 and here's my issue...

sometimes when i go idle... well that or just stop doing anything on my pc and walk away... my gpu usage jumps up and i hear the fan going nuts... when i start to take my pc out of idle, move the mouse hit a key it stops.

im 99.9% sure i dont have any spyware or any thing that might be using my pc to mine btc or w/e kinda crap they have out there...

i thought it couldbe me watching online vids and just hitting pause, but the gpu usage barely jumps when im actually waching the vid...

so wondering why this happens.
