Random freezing in an old system

I've had my old system running for a few months now and I recently got a new HD to try to fix the random freezing problem(as the older HD was beginning to fail) but the thing still randomly freezes in windows. I'm not sure what component random freezing is tied to so I don't know where to start.

I have no clue what can be causing this but any help would be appreciated. Here are the system specs:

Pentium 2 450mhz
ASUS P2B motherboard
128MB PC100 Samsung SDRAM
GeForce 2 GTS (also tried RivaTNT and GF2MX)
2x Canopus Pure3D IIs
Sound Blaster Audigy
WD 60GB HD
Kenwood 52x CD-ROM drive
Linksys Wireless PCI adapter
 
Have you tried repairing windows? or Reinstalling windows?
Try doing an 'msconfig' or get 'startup.cpl' and find out whats starting up when windows starts.
Also, when does it usually freeze?
Does it freeze in safe mode?
 
I've noticed it freezes 90% of the time in internet exporer and windows explorer. I had a 56k the last time I used the system so I'm thinking the Wireless internet is just not working with it. I also tried going back to IE 5.0 just in case but it still froze.

I have an extra athlon 2500+, 2x256MB of ram and maybe a motherboard if I can get it to work. I'm thinking to hell with it and just install the Athlon system to run my DOS/Win98/3dfx games, should work fine right?
