Random clicking sounds

Is it ok for the HD to make a couple clicking noises every now and then b/c mine does it like every other hour. And they are just random.

BTW this is on an 8 year old WD 80GB IDE HD.

[Edit] Also this happens mostly when using UltimateDefrag
 
Your drive is like a ticking time bomb, you're going to want to back up data and get it off of there as soon as possible. Click of death is what you have, and it can take along timie or short time to go. A few at work have gone in a few days and others years.
