Well, i bought 1gb ddr ram.

When i start my pc, it runs normally, then after a little while it restarts for no reason.

Im guessing i must of been a lil static when installing the ram. Is there anything i can do to fix it?

I think ive found the problem.

I think the memory was overheating. So i bought a new case.

agreed, but hey, it mighta been something hes been wanting to do for awhile, and this was the straw the broke the camels back.

also, good choice on the case, im a fan of the SLK3700BQE. as ozzi depicted, a well placed fan can help cooling emmensely.

I know buying a case was a drastic idea, but as you said i was meaning to for quite a while now .

I came to the conclusion that the ram was overheating, as when i didnt cool my ram with a fan the computer kept rebooting after an hours or less. Then when i slapped in a fan, it ran for like 4 hours with no problems at all.

yup, that definitly puts heat at the problem then. personally, i think you should leave the fan on it anyway, lengthen the lifespan of your ram a bit

The problem was actually the bios. Which i upgraed, and now works perfectkly
