Ram timings through software?

I was just wondering if its possible to dictate my RAM timings through a utility or piece of software? I had to get a new motherboard this past week and I didn't want to spend a lot so I just went to the local compusa and picked up a Gigabyte GA-P35-SL3 (the one in my profile obviously). It's a pretty nice board so far. Apparently, you can't dictate the ram timings in the BIOS though. Which is kind of odd because it has a decent set of overclocking options...maybe I'm just being stupid and haven't looked hard enough? CPU-Z identifies my timings as being 5-5-5-...16 if I remember correctly whereas my defaults should be 4-4-4-12.
 
At the bios main screen try hitting ctrl and F1 at the same time.

Gigabyte likes to hide the bios menu where you can change the memory settings.
 
there are programs where you can change ram timings and cpu clocks without restarting (can be done within windows). The cpu clocks work fine, but everytime I tried changing ram timings it locked up on me. So it's not really worth it, and as far as the bios, your probably just missing it. I have troubles finding that kind of stuff when I get a new mobo.
