I ordered some ram spreaders from www.hardcorecooling.com. The problem I am running into is that I have single sided ram and there is thermal tape on both spreaders. Is the side without the ram suppose to adhere to the spreader? They never came with instructions.
 
Just stick em on, the tape is supposed to stick to both sides of the ram stick. It's thermal conductive tape.
