I have 16 gb ddr3 of 1600 ram. I ran cpu z and its telling me that each of the sticks are running at, 622mhz, 711mhz, 800mhz, 800mhz. Is that normal? My cpu (i5-2500k) core speed is 1604mhz. I know they are somehow related but is there anyway to increase the speed?

they should be running at all the same speeds... 1600 in cpu-z is 833.3
the spd tab shows you what the ram settings by factory defult are ie if you run your ram slower it should have tighter timings

Yeah, make sure you are looking at the correct information in CPU-Z. The Memory tab will show you what your memory is running at. The SPD simply shows you the profile that are available to the memory for the speed at which they are set.

If anything, load up XMP if your RAM has the profile for it and you should be golden. As far as where that option is, it depends on your motherboard and how the BIOS is set up.
