Hi I have corsair XMS 3200 ram 400FSB. IT is supposed to operate at 2.3.3.6 CAS timings, but I Continue to have major system instability at these settings at 400fsb.

So I have recently found the only satisfactory level of 360 FSB at the timings of 2.5.3.3.8. I get roughly the same ram bench score.

Since I know nothing of ram speed, I was wondering if my higher numbers are harder on the ram as opposed to 2.3.3.6. Thanks!

360 FSB at the timings of 2.5.3.3.8

Is relax timing compare to the original spec.

What I would do in your case is :

Put the ram to stock 400FSB at 2.3.3.6 CAS timings @ 2.6v
and run 5 pass of http://www.memtest86.com/

If it fail try your ram at 2.7v with the default spec.

If it also fail at that voltage and spec, you have bad Corsair module and go to : Corsair House of help and get an RMA number.

With this testing procedure, you will isolate if it's your ram that is the problem. If the ram pass all the test then you have good ram at default speed and the problem is somewhere else.
