I will go ahead and list the system specs right off the bat.
System specs:
i5-4670
Asus B85M-G
8GB(4x2GB) Visiontek DDR3 2133
Sapphire R9 280X
WD 1TB Blue
EVGA 750 G2
My nephew approached me recently about wanting to build a computer. I formulated a plan where I would sell him my processor/mobo, and a video card. SInce I had most of the other parts laying around I threw them in thus saving him a shitload of money.
The base of this computer(proc/mobo/PSU/case) is what I have been using for about 6-8 months with no problems. I only changed out the ram, video card and hard drive for my nephew. Since I have made the changes to the computer, randomly it will do this thing on startup where it will power up and immediately power down, up down up down up down in a loop that doesnt stop. No beeps, not stopping until I flip the on/off switch on the back of the PSU. I thought I had fixed it once before, because I was able to get the computer to post and I got into the BIOS and it told me something about the overclock failing. Even though I was not overclocking(non-K CPU), and never messed with any of the settings. I set it back to default and it has not changed since. But the problem persists.
I ran memtest86, but it came back with no errors. Ive got nothing else. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
