Hi there,
My old pc of 5 and half yrs just died so i bought some new parts to revive my pc, finally
Well, i've got some small issues with the Kingston HyperX 2GB pc6400 ram kits that i bought.
These rams should run at DDR 800mhz but my new motherboard is detecting them at DDR 667mhz. My new board is the Gigabyte GA-MA770 DS3 coupled with a phenom 9550 quad.
I tried manually setting the ram speed in the BIOS to DDR 800 but then my pc would post with a memory error message and then revert the ram speed back to 667mhz?
I've read online that some 770 motherboards do not detect the correct ram speed but i can't seem to remember from where did i read this.
Is there any way to solve this issue? otherwise my new pc's running fine.....
Thanks in advance for all your help
regards
