are they worth it? (i mean there pretty cheap) and if yes... which ones should i get... i have 1gb (512x2) pc3200....
 
simple answer....no...there not needed and nor are they worth it

unless of course...your are putting more than 3 volts through your ram...then a heatspreader and fan would be good....
 
Sure, I say they're worth it... I mean cmon... If you're posting here, you probably spent more than 250 bucks worth of RAM on your pc... Why not drop an extra 10 or 20 bucks for some heatspreaders. Most RAM even come with them... they DO affect the temperature... lower temps are always better.. well... for this situation anyways. :p


Also, c'mon... they make your case look nice, and make things look more "pro"
 
haha true.... plus there cheap... less than 10 bucks.... which ones do people recomend for 2 stick?
