I have this board (GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA 775 Intel P35 ATX All Solid Capacitor Intel Motherboard) and want to upgrade from 2 to 4gigs of ram. The compatibility lists are incomplete and I'm not sure how to determine if a new brand would work or not.
The board shows:
Number of Memory Slots 4×240pin
Memory Standard DDR2 1066
Do I just need to find ram that matches the ddr2 and 240 pin characteristics? Something more?
Here's what I've found for ram(G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory). Anything better/cheaper?
