I had purchased some RAM from dvcentury.com and when I got it it didn't work. well after sometime arguring with the company they told me that I had purchaced RAM that ONLY works with the VIA chipset. Now I'm stuck with RAM that's past RMA or return date, Don't know if it works, and no board to test it on.
Does this type of RAM Really exist? How come I am just now hearing about it? Where does it come from? Who in their right mind would even carry these things?
What am I going to do with these now?
* Module Size: 256MB
* Package: 184-pin DIMM
* Feature: DDR, PC2700 / 333MHz
* Configuration: 32Meg x 64 (VIA CHIPSET ONLY)
* DIMM Type: Unbuffered
* Error Checking: Non-parity
* Speed: 6.0ns
* Voltage: 2.5V
* SDRAM Timings:CL=2.5
This was pasted from their website as of yesterday when I got the e-mail back from them...The copy I have from their website on the day I ordered does not have the "VIA Chipset only"
Any suggestions?
