Hi all, just got some new parts and also a new set of problems

Basically, whenever i set the RAM frequency to 333mhz(667) my sound goes all crackly but if i set it back to 266mhz(533) it's fine. The memory is listed in my specs below, it is dual channel 533/667 it is stated that it is supported on the mother board. The soundcard worked fine before so i dont think its it, im about to check if the onboard sounds ok in 333mhz. But in the mean time if anyone has any input they could give me i'd appreciate it.

Update: I've just removed my x-fi and as i boot into windows a new pci device has been found nothing plugged in any pci slots & of course i cant seem to find any drivers for it.

Motherboard: 4CoreDual-SATA2 R2.0
Ram: Corsair 2GB DDR2 PC2-5300C5 Dual Channel Kit (2x1GB)
Soundcard: Creative X-fi "Xtreme" Gamer
CPU: C2d e7200 @2.53ghz
GPU: Gecube X1950XT
