Would I be better getting 2x512 3200 sticks of Corsair CL2.5 valueram 110.0UK or 2x256 sticks of Corsair 3200 (2-3-2-6) CL2 low latency platinum 99.0UK?

Gonna run at 200FSBx11.5 (hopefully faster but I ll settle at that), btw anyone know the timmings for the Corsair value select?

I came down to something of the same sort. Corsair Value Ram pc 3200 1 gig or 512 mb mushkin pc 3500 with lower latencies. Do yourself a favor and go with the faster stuff. You won't be upset if it isn't as fast as you wanted it to be and you won't have anything holding back your overclock. Just remember, you can always get another 512 stick later on if you need it.

I hope this made sense - it's 8 am and I haven't had any sleep.

a gig is nice if you're the type of person who has a lot of stuff open, or does video editing or stuff like that. those type of people would notice a huge difference going from 512 to 1 gig, even if it was a little slower.

but if you're a performance freak, go for the 512 of the faster type, and upgrade later if you need to...it might be so fast that you won't have to.

are you limited to those two selections only?
if not, you could spend about 50 bux more and get these

I faced the same decision...I started out with 512 mb of Corsair Value select(1 stick). Worked ok, but alot of games and other apps were pretty slow so I ordered another 1gb of the Corsair VS ram...works great. The speed isn't bad at all, it'll do 215fsb with no problems.
