RAM bottleneck?

Couple of questions. First off I can't seem to get a stable overclock at anything above 220 on my ram, I have brough the voltage all the way up to 3.0v and still cannot get anything stable. Now when I built this computer I was on a bit of a budget and ended up with Corsair value ram so I know that this is limiting me but I would think with enough voltage I would be able to get something a little more respectable than 220 on the ram. So any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Also I have the voltage on my cpu set to 1.65 in the bios as heat is not an issue on the comp but when I look at cpu-z in windows the voltage fluctuates from 1.488 - 1.504. Seems very strange, don't know if this is a correct reading or some type of error in the software??......

Sytem specs for reference.....
a64 3000+
Asus A8N SLI
Corsair value ram 222mhz 2.9v (2.5-3-3-8)

You will have to realize that there will come a point where no matter the cooling, the voltage, or other mojo you throw at something it just won't do what you ask of it. Considering that you're talking about "value" RAM I suggest that you've gotten a pretty good OC out of it as is and probably won't get any further with that stuff.

Good luck. :)

Ya you are probably right.

I am still completely stumped and half worried about my second question though. =/
