Ram and CPU issue?

Is that bad for the cooler to be that close to the ram? It almost touches the ram when i screwed down the cooler, can i install the ram in the other slots 'the black colored' ones the not blue?

Not bad at all but if you're that worried about it, there is no problem putting the RAM in the black DIMM slots.
 
theres nothing bad about that at all. If anything the cpu fan would be drawing a little more across the ram than if it was further away, but not enough to make a measurable difference.
 
Thanks for the quick reply guys.. is this CM520 just as good or better then the 212+ ?
The ram i got is 2000MHz 4gb 2x2 would that be better then 6gb at 1330? this is my first build sry for the ?'s w

IIRC, the Hyper 212+ is better than the N520.

For gaming, there's no difference whatsoever between the two. However there would also be no difference between DDR3 1333 and DDR3 2400 RAM let alone DDR3 2000 RAM. So you still overspent on the RAM. You could have gotten ANY cheap DDR3 1333 RAM and still get the same real world performance. Especially for the Sandy Bridge route since the RAM isn't touched at all when overclocking those CPUs.

For the price, yes. Two fans in a push-pull configuration have shown to provide little, if any, cooling benefit over a single fan in push mode. The biggest problem with the Hyper N520 is its 92mm fan(s), neither of which performs as well as the 120mm fan on the Hyper 212+. The Hyper 212+, on the other hand, is equipped with one 120mm fan with a provision to add one additional 120mm fan (optional).

CM 520 isn't returnable guess ill use it for a bit, the 4gb 2000mhz ram from kingston was $39.99 @ Fri's
seemed like a good deal, i finally finished putting my system together but my monitor only has VGA
vid card is DVI i got a dvi to vga adapter pluged it in but no display? Any ideas ?

Does GTX 460 work with a dvi/vga adapter?

What's the voltage for that RAM? A lot of DDR3 2000 RAM is rated at 1.65V or higher which is the max RAM voltage for the Core i series CPUs.

Yes it should work. Try a different DVI port.
