Right now I have a P4 3.06 OC'ed to 3.4 and have pc2700 RAM at 2.5-3-3-7 running at 148mhz also at 1:1. I'm thinking the RAM is what's holding up my OC from going farther. So I've been looking at some better RAM. Opinions on Kingston HyperX pc3000 or pc3700?

pc3000 2-2-2-6
pc3700 3-4-4-8

other suggestions? I'm open to any and all input. Thanks.

It's just some generic brand RAM. I've tried taking it higher but it isn't stable in the testing I do to it.

could be the ram but still generic or not pc2700 should run at 166mhz. if you think its the ram then try some other ram and see if it helps.

could be that you hit the lmit on the cpu.

Would you recommend the pc3000 since it has the lower timings? or the pc3700 since stock it is allready more than fast enough for me? Thanks again.

get the corsair pc3200LL for the low timings plus they have been knowen to do 220+fsb
