Right now I have my Barton at 12.5x177 my ram is running 1:1 right now so 177Mhz If your wondering my HD limits my OCing so I can't push my fsb on my chip too high 184-190 gets scary. So I was wondering what Mhz you would have this ram running at?

I take it your on a via board that lacks the pci/agp lock then, can't you manipulate the divider to allow you greater fsb? or is the loss running it asynchron too big?
It's a shame with memories like those m8, I suggest you go out and buy yourself a cheap board with lock nforce2/kt880 and you'll be hitting 12.5x205 in no time.:D

i havent tried overclocking my ram past rated speed, but i do know that i can run my fsb at 267mhz with a 1:1 100% stable. at that speed i can get 6.4gb's of memory bandwidth. im using ocz pc4200

I'm on an nforce board. my HD as wierd as it is limits my OCing/fsb

nforce 1 or 2? im pretty sure even 1 locked the PCI bus so that a higher fsb DOESNT affect the harddrive

That has nothing to do with your hard drive. It means your system is not stable at those speeds. The only time your hard drive would be a problem in overclocking is if you did not have a pci lock on your motherboard. This would cause corrupted files and such on the hard drive, if was b/c of the hard drive.

Summary, it is your system doesn't want to run that fast, either the memory or the cpu. Up the voltage, losen the timings, and keep on eye on your temps.

maybe your cooling is limiting, what do you have cooling your CPU, heat can cause instability too

Ass? I can do 184x12.5 upping my multiplier isn't a problem. It's my fsb. When I hit 190s it becomes unstable and I really doubt HyperX would have a problem doing 190Mhz. My cooling is fine 50 degrees underheavy load at 2200Mhz. When windows starts giving me wierd screens and not letting me get into safemode I kinda doubt it was my processor or ram especially when I go back and lower them back to stock.

Also I did try overvolting my cpu and I did try my ram at 2.8v

ummm, ya, 50C under load is getting close to pushing it, and depending on northbridge cooling, it IS possible that is your prob (my comp is about 33C heavy load, 11*200 w/ SK-7 and 7v modded tornado)

yeah thats under heavy load though this was just changing my bios and starting windows. I mean right now with my fans running 70% I'm at 43 degrees 12.5X176 no big deal I my temps before I hit 190s were around the same as now little higher but only about 2-3 degrees

can you run your comp ok at 11*200?

if you still get probs, then i would lean towards mobo limiting your oc....
