It was the one with the confederate flag all over it. Yes, the plexi was painted from behind as it looks damn nice! It was just a quick mod for my son.

The original plan was for the front barrel to contain an aluminum fan with purple LED's or at least some light red color. The front section of the outer housing (silver front part in the game item) will have an indentation where the barrel begins, curved into the hole itself, to give the barrel a more organic and accurate look. Lasers would be very cool, tho. It's a matter of pricing everything out and weighing the costs-to-benefit of having that feature. If enough people show interest, than I might end up taking it on. This is a democratic build, you know!

Well, it's been a few months now, and work has come to a standstill on this mod. I just don't have the money to buy what I need right now to do such an in-depth job with the hand made handle and stock, etc. The SFF case I bought has been cut apart for months now, too. I've been using it with no trouble but waiting for the railgun to get built is becoming a problem. I need to finish this case NOW, so I will be posting my drawings for anyone to use to build their own. I have several cutaways, design concepts, and other written info for the taking. All of this will be on my website eventually. The DVD drive cover will be tossed out, and the housing will be repainted. Other than that, the rest of the work I've done will go with the theme of the new case design.
I'll be posting the new case in here once it's done. Besides, there wasn't much feedback from the railgun with the average person who has seen my drawings. Part of the reason I wanted to do the railgun in the first place was to showcase my skills and present the case on my business website, and I got flames in here for posting that info as well. Oh well. It just wasn't meant to be. The new case won't be built to impress the [H]ardcore among us, it will be for the average user who wants power in a small, intelligent package. Don't worry, it will still look cool and function will be priority.
My intention with this post is to let those of you who have either gave me encouragement or flak know that the railgun mod has been cancelled. It is in no way meant to be an advertisement for what I'm trying to do. The railgun would have been a great mod. It's just too much for me to accomplish right now, at this rate it would have been done next year! That's what I get working 12+ hours a day and having two kids. The new case concept will take much less time and will be much more desirable to the average person. I can live with that :0)

I need to do a simpler job since my time and cash flow are more limited than expected.
Again, anyone who wants my plans for this mod is welcome to them.
Since the components for the railgun are already in my possession, another case will be fabbed with fully custom casing, it just won't have a "theme". Instead it will have a freeform design like my other work, just much smaller! Thanks for the props, tho :)
BTW, right now I'm typing this post on my pocket pc, wardriving LOL!

Well thanx, man. Yeah, the pix were few and far between. I'd already finished the DVD and hard disk, but the stuff you didn't see was the hacked- up Biostar SFF case, brand new before cutting.... That machine will be the foundation for the replacement mod. It will be super-elegant with nary a wire showing. I'll be sure to hook you guys up better with more pix this time around!
