this is a gorgeous case for those who opt for the pre-modded route. nothing gaudy.
walks a fine line between cool and overbaked. but i think raidmax discontinued this
line in favor of the scorpio.

this baby has the windows, top and side, gorgeous black finish, 4 80mm fans, and a
decent price (69.00). lose the psu, and you're set.

other than pctoys, does anyone know of an on-line retailer that sells them for a better or
comparable price, preferably without a psu ? i've googled, scoured newegg, zipzoomfly,
directron, and pricewatch . . . but nothing.

help ! please !
 
I bought one of them in silver for my fiancee's machine. It was a POS if I ever saw one. She's got one of my spare Lian Li's now. I would highly recommend a much better case. BTW, it was $30 at a computer show.

uh, not very instructive. i counted over 760 reviews of raidmax cases at newegg and
the combined average was better than 4.5 out of 5 stars.

the troubles you experienced, whatever they were, appear to be a rare occurence.
the overall customer impressions are extremely positive. reading the newegg
reviews, the one recurring complement is on the case's sturdy build. its not
premium, but for the price the company produces cases of quality build that i
think are very comparable to lian lis in the cost-satisfaction ratio. i just wish
they had removable mobo trays.
 
If you weren't going to listen to his criticism, why did you ask about it? You go on and on about how good this thing looks but yet you've never actually seen one? :confused:

I got a friend like you, he holds the zip ties during builds.

It's a POS case. I've built a computer with one. What the hell more do you want? As stated above. Don't ask opinions if you don't want them. Did you ever notice Newegg's disclaimer not to base your buying decisions on the reviews???? Those cases are fine for people who don't give a crap about quality.

ive been wonderin bout that for a while because i read somewhere that it stands for point of sale meaning machines that help out at stores like scanners, cc swiping thing, etc... then people say my computers a pos and i m like, wtf...

but you, and the sheep that followed, didn't answer the question. in fact, your answer
was not an answer to anything i asked but a mix of borderline thread crap and elitist
spewage.

some of you made bs assumptions that i do not own a raidmax when i never said a
word about my current skill level, the quality of my current rig, current case brand or
anything else, other than taking a moment to reflect on how beautiful a particular
case appeared and asking if anyone knew of sites other than pctoys.com that
sold these specific cases !

you want to throw in your own subjectivities ? fine. but don't serve them in place of the
question asked and don't tell me its a 'P.O.S' without being the least bit detailed. did
the raidmax cases shatter into a gazillion pieces ? why ? did you cut your little finger
off ? why ? did piss squirt out from the usb port as you were fumbling around there ?
oh . .. yeah . . awesome . . . why !!!!

newegg's policy of warning you against basing your buying decision on the customer
reviews they solicit is a product of our litigation-crazed society. as much as they care
for you to know what your fellow builders are experiencing they have to be wary of the
freak who gets it in his head that newegg could be legally liable as a representative of
the countless opinions offered by any slackjaw out there - uh, like you ?

lastly, i cannot beleive some of you would even fault me for basing my decision on a
positive average rating off 700+ reviews. even experienced builders and technical sites
(those you worship, infallible, god-like in their awareness, knowledge, etc) have given
glowing reviews to raidmax cases with the usual (and obvious) caveats for these mid-
range cases. grow up, folks.

Windows a little different, but it's practically the same design. Of course, Xoxide has been out of stock for a while, but you might be able to find it elsewhere... (There's a silver one on ebay right now, they come and go, might want to keep an eye out there)

I was not bashing you for basing you decision off of those reveiws, I was confused that you would discount the personal knowledge of one of the forum members that took time to advise you of his expiriences with this case. He even offered you an alternative to help you out. Stick around these forums a while and you will find out that there is a weath of knowledge here and most everyone here is more than helpful. Don't piss on it.

As for all the rest of the stuff... you can still hold my zipties :D
 
Theres a reason its a dying breed. Hint: CS and AOL have been found to not be leet.

and some of us are giving some decent opinions (not me tho :D )... so take what you need and leave the crap... if you dont want our opinions, then dont even post, just like what djnes said... this is what a forums for, opinions
