Shopping for an inexpensive mid-tower chassis? Benchmark Reviews had a lot of nice stuff to say about the Raidmax Cobra case.

The Raidmax Cobra comes in a variety of different colors: Black, Red, Blue, White, and Titanium. We will be looking at the black one for this review. The Raidmax Cobra Black Steel Mid-Tower ATX Case will fit the bill of many consumers on a tight budget. Without spending a whole lot of money, the Raidmax Cobra offers many features that only some of the bigger and more expensive cases have.

Ugh. When are case makers going to learn that this super chiseled, angled and protruding case look just dates the case and makes it harder to clean?

They just look so ugly, like they were designed in the 90s by whoever made the Borg in Star Trek look so scary and high-tech.

Pros
-------
-Five different colors available at Newegg (IMHO the Titanium version looks particularly spiffy) as well as two similar Cobra Z cases (only difference I could find between the two is the Z can hold longer video cards via removable HDD rack)
-Blue front cover version is currently $30 (after $20 rebate) with FS
-98% of the reviews on Newegg are either 4 or 5 eggs (out of 45 total reviews)
-Benchmark Reviews gave it 8.85 out of 10

Cons
-------
-Year old design.. was first available at Amazon on February 7, 2013
-ThinkComputer gave it a 7 out of 10 review
-IMHO probably a few better choices than this in the $50-75 price range

Yep. Makes me say SO EDGY... Trying too hard to be super 90's scifi and with all the unnecessary extra surface edges that will only end up collecting dust. The thermal capabilities of any case can be retained with a completely different exterior performance, so I don't know why it still ends up having to be such a trade off with so many models. A case that is nice, clean, simple and performs well, why can't I have that?
