Raided Raptors and IDE?

I have two SATA 36GB raptors in RAID on an Abit IC-7G, utilizing the silicon image 3112 controller (not the intel controller).

I also have a Maxtor 20GB IDE HD that I just throw junk on. I also have a SB Audigy 2.

I'm experiencing corruption crashes alot, :confused: nothing windows repair hasn't fixed so far... but what is the problem? I've read hints that the Audigy 2 doesn't like it, and I've also read having the IDE drive in there may cause the issue... anyone have the facts? Thanks.
 
When using controllers on mobo ensure you aren't ocing to be sure it isn't stability issues from a faster fsb making the silicon controller unstable.

Try checking the cables, ensure they are in good condition and connected perfectly.

Try taking out pci devices (such as the audigy 2) to see if that helps.

From there it could be the controller itself, see if there are any flashes out for it.

also try and make sure the hard drives are on different channels (not master slave sharing one channel).

Apart from that I'd say try the intel controller - or maybe it is one hard drive on the way out (my deathstars would corrupt raid images a few months before they died).
