RAID1 array monitoring software

i just installed a RAID1 array in my system and i've been trying to find some RAID monitoring software without any luck.

i know when i boot up, an error will flash saying that the RAID1 array in incomplete if a drive fails. but the problem with this is that I rarely reboot. so i want to try and find some proggie to sit in the system tray and monitor the array.

can this be done by third party software? or is my best bet to try and find something form the manufacturer. the RAID controller is onboard the motherboard, so that might be a pain.

what kind of board are you running? what RAID chip is it using?
 
I have a DFI NFII Ultra Infinity motherboard, and I think it uses a Silicon Image SiI 3114 Serial ATA controller.
 
on silicon image's site, in the support section go to the download section on the left, under the S311x area.. In addtion to the latest windows RAID driver, you there is a monitoring utility to download too.. it requires Java to run, but it should give you a decent overview of what's going on with the RAID array.
