raid0

I assume you're talking about a 150GB raptor vs 2 7200 RPM drives in RAID 0?

The raptor would be faster and more reliable.

Not necessarily more reliable just that the probability of the a drive failing is greater because in raid0 you have 2+ drives rather then just 1.

As for how fast.
In raid0 your games will load faster because your disks can read faster

10k Will both read and right faster

Im not really sure how the benchmarks work with that but this is my understanding. Correct me if im wrong.

I knew there was an article on this somewhere:

The Raptor-X's performance is even good enough to beat a RAID 0 array consisting of two modern 7,200 RPM drives, except in terms of pure throughput, of course.

Failure of any drive in a RAID 0 array will kill the array and destroy all data. As you put more drives into RAID 0, the chance of a drive dying increases. Thus, a single drive is more reliable.
