RAID0 under ICH6R/925XE chipset - limitations?

I have 3 Raptors (all 740GD's) that I want to slap into an uber-fast stripeset. In the RAID bios, i'm only permitted to tag 2 HD's out of the 3. Is that a limitation of ICH6R?

I can't find any real documentation supporting that, and the bios states to select a MINIMUM of 2 hard drives when configuring the stripeset.

Someone help me out?
