raid0 drives "unreadable"

i have 2 western digital 160gb harddrives in raid 0 config to hold data (the OS was on another drive), and i just reformatted my OS drive with a new copy of winxp. now when i boot up, the promise ultra100 tx2 pci card still detects the 2 drives after post-ing, and the drives do show up in device manager. but both drives are labeled as "dynamic" and "unreadable" under disk management, and they do not show up in "my computer".

i also tried reinstall the drivers for it by booting from windows => F6 for scsi/raid => install driver from floppy, but still "unreadable".

are there any ways to recover the data from the raid drives? thanks in advance.
 
Sounds like you might need to use the raid card's utility to recreate the array.

P.S. RAID 0 is the absolute worst thing that you could do for data drives. If you are storing data on them then you should just separate them and have two 160gb drives, because as you are experiencing, any little thing can make a raid0 array go down, and if one drive fails, all the data is gone forever.
 
ya you must create a new array then boot from xp cd and use your floppy raid drivers for that motherboard as windows sets up to get it to work correctly. You can not use a existing installed os and put it into array they must be both formatted and redone at the same time of setup to work.
