Is it possible to make a raid setup with a SATA and IDE hard drive of the same size?

on some controllers, yes. Nvidia's Nforce3 and Nforce4 chipsets can do that, I do believe. I don't know of any others specifically, though.

Well my MB is an nForce 3 chipset.

Is there any performance increase with a RAID 0 or RAID 1 setup? I've heard some say it isn't noticeable?

Will load times of large programs (such as games) be faster?

There are quite a few controllers that support this, although many people have had horrible experiences with this. I would not recommend doing this.
