I am setting up a raid0 array. I want to make sure I have all the info needed to complete it. (Info was scattered) I have a 2nd WD blue WD5000AAKS 500gb 16mb 7200rpm on it's way. I am going to short stroke it.

First (please correct me)
*Put my raid drivers onto a pen drive and burn a copy of "WD Align program"
*Shut down system, install 2nd drive. Reboot into Bios.
*Currently since I only have one drive. I don't see options for raid setup. Set SATA to Raid/IDE format? Change from IDE to ACHI?
*Set to raid 0?
*Set up Raid vol1 to 140gb(+/-) with 64kb(+/-) stripe. vol2 Remainder of space 128kb(+/-) stripe
*Reboot and run WD Align Program
*Reboot and install OS

Sound about right?

that sounds right m8. thats how I do it anyways. what o/s you using?? I always installed the drivers after setting up raid, but some boards/ os' dont let you do that.
