If I have a hardware RAID enclosure set to RAID 1 and Windows recognizes it as 1 drive, is there anything else I have to do to setup? I assume the hardware part takes care of replication.

For example:

1 Sans Digital Enclosure set to RAID 1
Two 1TB Drives
Windows sees 1 1TB drive
/profit

Correct?

Yup, duplication is performed at hardware level, Windows sees one volume.

I'm assuming you could test this by taking a drive out and sticking it in another PC but I've never actually done this (so don't do it unless someone more knowledgeable tells you its OK).
