well after days of re-installing windows i gave up with my raid... kind of. i fished out an old 80gb HDD shoved windows on it, and my drivers then installed all my apps and media on my raid 0 2x250gb. this is split 400/100 the latter for temp files and ASR.
Will it hurt of improve performance running over 2 HDD?
thanks.

Are you trying to get windows on the 250gig hard drives but cant get windows to install it on there? Well what you might be able to do is use a program like Acronis and clone the windows drive onto the raid0 drives and then go from there. Im not sure if it will work but thats what I did to get windows on one of my raptors when windows would never recognize my controller. Havent tried it on a raid setup though.

thanks. it installs fine but then always comes up with pathetic errors when booting. boots fine on non raid and data never corupts. im more interested on the performance from running apps on a seperate drive.
should i change my boot drive to a raptor at some point?

Just this past week I bought 2 raptors and couldnt get raid0 to work so I put Windows on one raptor and put my games on another. Going from a 40gig 7200rpm hard drive to a raptor cut windows booting down 20-30 seconds.

well my boots quick suprisingly, i guess because its only windows and drivers on the C disk. i get around 1 swooop from xp.
is there betteer performance than a single disk ie because c can read stuff for windows and drivers whilst D (in my case) can read for the programs?
