RAID Mirroring W removable disc?

Just wondering if it's possible to set up RAID mirroring with a removable disc - specifically I have an internal and an external disc that I'd like to both contain the same data so I can take the external with me and have it updated every time I plug it into the PC. (or some program that set up redundancy between 2 discs when both are present, but still run off 1 when the other is removed without the need to manually copy data back and forth)

NOTE:
I am well aware of 'sync' cloud services like Dropbox, but this is a 2tb drive, so it's not practical for this much data.

You can do that easily on non windows operating systems however I assume you mean windows 7.

Also wouldn't a backup be better?

Vista Premium X64 unfortunately...

Well, normally, but right now I'm working between my laptop and desktop on massive files (Some projects ~10gb in size) so unless I can set a backup to only update changed files... (Havn't really used backup settings since Tapes, which meant it took HOURS despite sometimes only a few files being changed)

What about something like sync toy, robocopy. richcopy or even rsync. Although all of these you will have to manually start.

I'll check MirrorFolder, the others I would need to schedule as "when I plug in the device" because there is no single set time that I can guarantee that it will be plugged in...
