so I'm running an evga 680i mobo (ugh!) and have 3 drives (SATA 3.0) in RAID 5, and I'm having lots of problems with RAID (I'm really hoping the problems are only related to RAID...). I was considering taking everything out of RAID, reformatting everything, and just running 3 separate drives, but then I started wondering if a 3rd party RAID controller would be a good/viable alternative...
can anybody offer any advice? assuming the mobo is the culprit, could this solve my problems? would it conflict with my mobo and would it require me to reformat my hard drives?
if buying a RAID controller could be a good solution, I'll probably buy one very soon. I don't know anything about RAID controllers or what I should look for, could somebody recommend a good one?
