Raid array slow in Vista 64

Well I installed Vista 64 over a year ago. I was running XP x64 before Vista 64 and ran some disk tests on the speed of my array and it was pretty quick with 580 MBps. But since going to Vista 64 the speed tests are down to 180MBps.

Has anyone any idea why there is such a large loss of disk performance with Vista 64.

raid card 2230SLP 2 channel scsi hardware raid. 8 drives in raid 5.

I know it sounds like I'm being snarky. But I'm not. This is a known issue in Vista. Hope and pray SP1 will ameliorate it somewhat.
 
Your not. I am not up on all the bad side of Vista 64. I use it like I know nothing until I have problems. Then I know first hand the problems. It seems like Vista has a lot of problems and SP1 is not going to fix them. So I will wait for about a week and then install win XP x64 again. At least it worked and quickly. I have another 15k 147 scsi drive comming in soon, then I will switch over to XP x64 back to something that works.
