RAID and upgrading disk size

Currently I have r5 with 5 320g's I am wondering if I am able to hot swap the 320's out for 1 or 2tb drives, essentially slowly upgrading the total drive space.

This depends on the raid you use. If it is linux software raid the answer is yes. If it is motherboard raid or cheap hardware raid the answer is most likely no.
 
its the nvidia onboard raid that's been extremely kind to me over the past 8 or 9 years (since the 570 boards first came out). I went from a asus570 to a msi980 board, plugged in and raid was fine...
i suppose i'll give it a shot and hope for the best.
