Short version: Does anyone have a RAID 0 array of 2 SF-1200 drives that they have been running for several months and has the speed noticeably degraded?
Long version: I have 2 120GB SandForce SF-1200 SSD drives. I originally ran them in RAID 0 on the laptop for about a month and then split them up because everyone and their brother said the speed would degrade unless TRIM was used. I am finding that 120GB is too small and running one as a boot drive with a standard drive for installing large programs is not fast enough to justify the space lost and the price paid. That said I am going back to RAID, either the pair of SSDs or the original pair of 320GB Scorpio Blacks that I had before. The month I ran the SSDs in RAID before they were still as fast as the day I installed them, but a month isn't long enough for it to happen. I am going to format it in the next day or two and am trying to decide if I want to go back to the SSD array or if that is more maintenance than I want to do.
