I'm about to get a new HD (matched to my present one).
I want to use my onboard RAID chip to set up the HD as RAID.
I have been after wanting a fresh clean of the HD to get rid on all unseen junk

just to check. Once setup as (RAID-0, stripped?) It will appear as one big HD that I can partition?

Does 2k have the RAID drivers in it setup disk or will I need to enter the disk in the drive at setup.

Does Gentoo (from liveCD) support IDE RAID?

I'm pretty sure that is the case.

Maybe it will and maybe it won't. Win2K is getting older and it may not have the drivers if your card was made fairly recently.

What you need to do is put in the windows 2000 setup disk and press F6 when it says (On the bottom of the screen) to setup raid drivers.
 
nice, chears gonna give it a go this weekend if my HD ever arrive.

Only way to learn is to try I suppose
