I have 2 80GB Sata (seagate) drives. I want to put them in Raid 1 on my Abit AI7 motherboard. Is there any special software that I need for Windows XP (Home) or will the raid bios take care of everything automatically? Of course I'll have to install the sata raid drivers, but will I need any other special software other than that?

ALso, anyone have any other tips for Raid 1 setups? I really just need to have a nice backup on the second HD of my system in case something goes wrong with the HD. 80 gigs is plenty for the work I have on it, but being able to recover the data quickly in case something goes wrong is really my main concern.

you should be all set, no other software is required for a hardware RAID
