So I get 2 raptor 150's....strictly from a gaming pov am I better off with raid o or just keeping the drives separate and doubling my capacity? These will be the only drives in the rig.

What do you think? I am guessing not much help in games to have raid...maybe a little quicker load times is all.

I swear by my raid 0, so fast. But you have a greater chance of losing data, like a huge chance, 50%...

However, you have another option, put Windows and documents on one, put games and programs on the other.

Either is good, but I am a fan of the raid.

Make a small partition, say 20gbs on each and make it a raid 1. Use the rest as bulk storage. Voula ;) safety and speed. Not sure if your controller will let you do that, but windows will (pro).

Depends - If you dont care about data redundancy then raid 0 is the fastest raid level since there is no data redundancy overhead.

If you care about data loss then I would suggest raid 1 with 2 drives. Raid 1 is much faster reading data and about the same writing as a single drive.

If you can swing it you can have the best of both worlds (data redundancy and speed) which would be raid 5 but you need 3 drives.

If you going to stick with 2 drives raid 1 is much better
