Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I currently have a samsung f3 spinpoint 500gb drive. I wanted to create a raid 0 array mainly just recording game footage. Do I need to buy another f3 drive? Can I use somethign similiar in speed? Thanks!
Obviously if I buy a 1tb drive I would "lose" 500gb of data making the 1tb drive 500gb and then raiding both 500gb drives.
I'm just asking if I will run into problems? It seems like you can buy faster 1TB drives for prices pretty close to the price of a 500gb F3, not to mention most retailers seem to be low on stock and I only trust amazon, tigerdirect and sometimes newegg.
If you don't need the sequential read/write for what you're doing, don't bother with the added complexity of RAID. Just plug in both drives. A 1TB drive shouldn't be much more than a 500gb one.
